Living in the same vocal family as The Strokes, Jack Cherry and the rest of Juan de Fuca formed in 2015. Following the tragic death of a lifelong friend, Cherry released and dedicated his 6-track EP entitled Cavern Of to him. An Atlanta-native, Cherry played in a college rock group called Uncle Dad, and after their departure, was encouraged by bassist Jack Webster and drummer Howard Stewart to continue playing music with the group.
Reorganizing into a 5-piece taking in Clark Brown and Declan Farisee on guitar, the band developed a sound reflecting a surprising range of influences. Spanning shoegaze, post-hardcore, and 70s punk and soul, the collective recorded their debut album, Solve/Resolve. Exploring new textures within lo-fi 90s and new-school rock, these guys are on fire.
